Emily Caroline will turn 3 years old very soon. She is such a joy! She can sing her ABCs and can identify several of her letters. She can count to about 15 and can identify lots of them. She amazes me everyday. I love to carry on conversations with her about things and watch her facial expressions as she answers me. She is so fascinated with life. She loves to see bugs and can't wait to show them to me. She always says, "I can't eat bugs. They are yucky" when we see one outside. She likes me to turn over rocks to find them. She definitely needs a bug catcher and magnifying glass for her birthday. You'll see her in one picture eating cheerious with her daddy. She adores him and of course the feeling is mutual. She is such a big girl. She plays so well with others and by herself. Sharing with her brother is often a "talk", but we're getting through it. It seems hard sometimes to remember when it was just the two of us running errands, watching Elmo, reading books, and playing. She just started to like Dora and Diego now. She likes to watch that over Sesame Street most of the time. She LOVES playing outside, going to the park, riding her bike, playing with her babies, "cooking" in her kitchen, reading books, playing with "Little People", and playing with "busy bugs". Busy Bugs is a game she got for Christmas from Mama Jayne. They are little rubbery plastic bugs that are different colors. She loves that sort of thing.
I bought her some plastic animals recently and she likes those too. She loves to sing and listen to music. I want things to slow down. She'll be a teenager before I know it.
We had a fun day at the park on Friday. She played more on this truck they have than the playground. Parker loved it too. He cried when I took him out. It's just the "frame" of a truck with steering wheels, wheels, and a front/back seat. They kept pretending there was a storm and they had to "take cover" under the seat. Some little girl that was several years older kept saying that so all the kids playing in there would crawl under the seat and "take cover". Then she would say, "it's safe. We can come out now" They all would crawl back to riding in the truck. Emily Caroline had a ball doing that. Cute!
